Excellent idea, and I fully support this mission, and turn of event with the logs. I am in total agreement that the community as a whole needs to be taken into consideration with regard to the potential value of the logs, and particularly the log owners. CDF has not been too forthcoming, and despite their generous offer to help in discovering the meaning of the logs, it is my belief as well, that handing over the logs for research and investigation without returning them to their rightful owners is risky business. I say, let the negotiations begins, and also say thank you to Skam for bringing this out into the open.
